Supplies the base asset to a Compound market to earn the supply rate. The socket approves the market and supplies the base asset; the balance accrues interest every block. If the position has base debt, the supply repays it first before any surplus becomes a positive balance. Set the amount to max to supply the full balance held. Reach for it to earn yield on idle base asset, or as the last step of a strategy that has swapped into the base asset earlier in the transaction.
