The socket approves the market and supplies the asset; Comet records it as collateral that backs base-asset borrowing, up to the asset's supply cap. Collateral earns no interest. Set the amount to max to supply the full balance held. Reach for it before a borrow in the same transaction, or to add margin to a position when the position action shows it drifting toward its liquidation factors.
