Kaito is the attention market for crypto: it indexes what the industry says across social, research and governance, ranks who moves that conversation, and pays the people it ranks in KAITO. Staking KAITO is how a holder takes part in that economy.
Staked KAITO is sKAITO, a vault share whose value in KAITO only rises as Kaito pays rewards into the vault. A stake earns from the moment it is made and carries weight in the programs Kaito runs for its community. Leaving is deliberate: a holder starts a cooldown, the KAITO sits in an aging pool for seven days, and only then can it be claimed.
The yield is passive and the exit is not. A cooldown started today restarts the clock for everything already cooling down. A claim that matures at three in the morning sits idle until someone sends it. KAITO that arrives in the wallet earns nothing until someone stakes it.
Every step of a stake is a step in a plug: depositing KAITO for sKAITO, starting a cooldown on shares or on an exact amount of KAITO, and claiming it when the cooldown ends, with the amounts each step reports flowing into the next. A cooldown the Plug account starts is the Plug account's to claim on a schedule; a cooldown the wallet starts is the wallet's to claim.
KAITO staked the block it lands. A claim sent the first second it can be, and the KAITO restaked or swapped in the same run. An exit timed to the reward schedule rather than to whenever someone remembered.
The stakers who earn the most are not the ones watching the clock. Their stake runs itself.
