Defi · Perpetuals

SynFutures is a perpetuals exchange whose markets are made by an AMM rather than a counterparty vault: every instrument on Base, a base priced in a stablecoin by its own oracle or pool, trades against concentrated liquidity on a tick ladder, with an order book of resting limit orders on the same ladder.

Margin lives in one place. A trader deposits into SynFutures' Gate, and every trade, order and liquidity range draws margin from that reserve and returns it there; a trade can also post margin straight from the trader's balance, the Gate pulling whatever the reserve does not cover. A position is held at the margin the trader posted, marked against the instrument's price, and liquidated when that margin falls under the maintenance ratio. Large withdrawals pend for a day before the Gate pays them.

Every part of that is a step in a plug: depositing and withdrawing margin, releasing a held withdrawal, trading at the market up to a worst price, resting a limit order, cancelling it or settling it once taken, and adding or removing a range of liquidity. A reserve, a pending withdrawal, a position and the price a size would fill at are all reads, so a plug can wait for a price, size a trade from what it holds, and act the moment its condition is met.

The positions a plug opens are the Plug account's own: SynFutures keys every position on the address that trades it and offers no way to trade for another, so a plug's trades sit in the Plug account's portfolio and its later steps manage them there.

A stop loss written as a rule instead of a hope. A position closed whole the moment funding turns. A range of liquidity that steps out when the price leaves it.

Leverage rewards the trader who acts on time. The ones who do are the ones whose exits are already written down.
