PancakeSwap Infinity is the generation that moved every PancakeSwap pool into one contract: a pool manager holds each market as an entry in its own storage, a single vault settles every swap and liquidity change against one balance sheet, and a pool can carry its own logic through hooks. Liquidity is concentrated into the ranges providers choose, and part of every swap fee goes to the protocol, set per pool when it opens.

That design makes trading and creating pools cheap. A new pool is a storage write rather than a deployment, a route through several pools settles once at the end, and native ETH trades as itself. The hookless pools remain plain concentrated markets whose behaviour is fully known from their key.

None of that machinery runs the provider's side. A concentrated position earns nothing once price leaves its range, fees sit in the manager until someone signs to collect them, and rebalancing means unwinding and re-entering by hand. The pool makes the market every block; the position waits for you.

Every number the pool manager keeps is a step in a plug: a pool's price, the quote for any size, the currencies and liquidity behind a position. Minting a position, adding to it, taking liquidity out and collecting what it earned run when a condition is met rather than when a person is awake.

Fees collected the moment they cross your threshold. A range re-entered the block price leaves it. Liquidity pulled when a pool's price crosses your line. An entry that waits for the quote you wanted.
